Acrobatic Arts Dance Syllabus NEW FOR 2018 Acro Dance is a style of Acrobatics used specifically for dancers. It is a genre of dance which seamlessly fuses elements of lyrical gymnastics tricks, balancing, tumbling, and jazz. Students learn Acrobatic tricks such as handstands, cartwheels, chest stands, elbow stands, walkovers, side and front aerials, and tumbling lines. Starting from age 5yrs. Enrolments are taken at the start of each year. Students are invited to sit exams in September/October. We also have an open (non-exam) Acro class for dancers 6-10yrs.
The latest Hip Hop syllabus is here! Learn fun cool groovy moves just like on the video clips to the latest music on the charts. This Hip Hop syllabus is also structured with 12 levels starting at 8 years old through to Advanced levels. Students sit an exam to progress onto the next level.
These fun energetic Jazz classes are structured on a progressional basis that starts from five years old and progresses through 14 levels to Advanced and Solo Seal. The work is set to the latest music on the charts, the syllabus is up to date with NEW pilates warm ups and cool downs and it’s fun and exciting to learn for all ages!
Our Ballet classes follow the British Ballet Organisation – BBO Syllabus, it is committed to maintaining and improving its reputation for excellence by providing high quality dance education and training through syllabi, examinations, music and resources. The BBO aims to ensure safe dance practice and to provide access and equal opportunities for all. Suitable for students aged 5 years and up.

The Jason Winters Contemporary Technique syllabus is new to New Zealand. These fun classes give the chance for that little ballerina or fairy to come and dance like they have never danced before! They can dress up in their own costume or wear one of our dance skirts! We dance with pom poms, scarves and magical pink ribbon wands. The classes are based around Jazz and Ballet. We have morning and afternoon classes to choose from. With very affordable prices every child has a chance to be a fairy or ballerina for half an hour!
We offer “Adults Only” classes suitable for Beginner to Experienced dancers in American Jazz, Contemporary and Tap. The American Jazz and Contemporary classes follow a syllabus programme with the option of sitting exams part way through the year, while the Tap classes are open classes, meaning you can start at any time of the year.
